The Ghillie Story:
The Ghillie suit was originally invented by the gamekeepers (called Ghillies) on the great 19th Century Scottish highland shooting estates as an aid to stalking poachers. In the 20th century, they were refined and used by the military special forces units and snipers, who being stalked even as they stalked, obviously needed the very best.
